Dan Flavin made fluorescent homages to artists from Henri Matisse to Piet Mondrian. British potter Lucie Rie and her protégé Hans Coper also inspired him, and this month the results (above) light up Vito Schnabel’s St. Moritz gallery, alongside Flavin’s collection of the ceramists’ own work.
