Sterling Ruby: Ceramics at the Museum of Arts and Design New York, New York
Prepare for a bevy of vases, ashtrays, and more in this exhibition focused on the accomplished contemporary artist. In this show, Ruby, who may be best known within the fashion world thanks to his collaborations with Raf Simons, builds upon the work of his predecessors. "He's really thoughtful of the lineage that came before him," says Shannon Stratton, the chief curator of the New York's Museum of Arts and Design, explaining Ruby's understanding of the American Studio Craft Movement.
