«What matters most is that a work of art continues to ask questions. That is what keeps it alive.»  Julian Schnabel

At Château La Coste, where everything seems carefully calibrated to remain in balance, Julian Schnabel introduces an unexpected variable: himself. Until August 15, at the Galerie des Anciens Chais, the exhibition curated with Donatien Grau does not attempt to organize fifty years of work — it moves through them. The selection is compact, almost stubborn, bringing together materials, images, and different temporalities without searching for synthesis, instead allowing unexpected continuities to emerge. Schnabel, after all, has never been a linear artist.
